Aileen & Hung Part 1 Wedding | San Diego wedding photographer

Aileen and Hung’s special celebration started off with the tradition of their tea ceremony. A tea ceremony is considered a significant event in a Chinese wedding. This takes place on the wedding day itself when all of the members of the family are present. Tea is used in Chinese wedding ceremonies because it symbolizes respect. On the wedding day, the groom comes to the brides house with lots of food and flowers for her. The grooms mission is to ask her girls if he could see her and marry her. Gifts are given as well money in order for him to see his bride. Once convinced, the groom is welcomed in. The tea ceremony begins. Both the bride and groom serve tea to her parents & relatives. This act is in respect and gratitude for all the years of love and care for her. In return, both the bride and groom receive red envelopes with money or jewelry is placed on them. Blessings for a happy marriage or abundant of wealth & children are also given to the couple. After the couple are finished with the brides family, the couple continue to the grooms house, and the process is repeated.

Edmond and I were touched by all the blessings that were given to them. We felt all the Love, respect, and kindness amongst the two families. Both families made our expericence ten times more than what we could ever ask for! Aileen & Hung, your day was special. It was a day full of smiles and celebration! We again would like to thank you for allowing us to capture your beautiful day. We loved every minute of it! 🙂 Kindly enjoy part 1!
